MUSHROOM IDENTIFICATION CLASSES

My Top 12 Edible Mushrooms class is an in-depth, in-person class that teaches you to confidently identify 12 of the most delicious and reliable edible mushrooms in our region. They are easy to identify, can be found consistently, and have no deadly lookalikes.

We’ll cover basic mushroom anatomy, the nine steps of observation, spore prints, and the most common toxic species in our region. You’ll also learn where and when to find mushrooms, plus how to clean, cook, and preserve your harvest.

The class is held indoors with a photo-rich slideshow. Handouts and a link to the presentation are included. The class lasts 4 -4.5 hours and is $95 per person or $150 for two. Sliding scale available. Chaga tea and light snacks are provided.
